Hello and Welcome to Mazaa Box!

Hi! I'm Samantha. I'm Indian by look, heritage and heart. I am American by birth, accent and upbringing. I am Indonesian by language, home and soul. I am Australian by residence, love and motherhood. I am international by palate and my love for flavour and spice.

 

I am a third-culture kid in constant search for roots, tradition and celebration of culture. I crave the spice of a richly flavoured biryani. I crave the simplicity of flavours and intensity of cooking up a Thanksgiving feast. I crave the char of satay on the roadside, the air thick and tantalizingly smoky from the grill, pushed into the air by the street vendor's fan. I crave the pillowy softness of a lamington as my tongue laps up flavours of chocolate and coconut.

 

I am a Mama of 2 creators and mazaa-makers. My artsy and creative girl is 8 years old and my imaginative little boy is 5. We love to create together, whether it's art supplies on the dining table or (organised) chaos in the kitchen. Some days it all works better than others!​

I started Mazaa Box with the intention of creating some fun traditions and a love of our Indian heritage with my children. My ultimate aim, however, is to give all children a fun and playful way to learn about the world around them, regardless of heritage. Over time, you should see Mazaa Box grow to include various world cultures and events shaping the activity boxes and included kid-friendly recipes.
